Executive Order 01-002: Cascadia Support for Midwest Fuel Crisis

In response to a severe fuel supply crisis affecting Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, and communities across the Midwest—caused by a pipeline rupture and refinery fire compounded by rigid federal fuel rules—this Executive Order directs Cascadia's energy and emergency management agencies to immediately offer full technical expertise, logistical support, and mutual-aid assistance to the affected states. The Order also formally calls on the federal government to grant temporary waivers of reformulated gasoline requirements so that available fuel can legally reach the hardest-hit communities without further delay.
